Strathmore 500 Series Illustration Board for Wet Media is professional quality board that has a strong durable vellum finish for traditional drawing techniques. In addition it has been internally sized to accept wet media and can be used for light washes up to wet on wet applications.

Strathmore Illustration Board for wet media was developed to satisfy the needs of Illustrators who do pen & ink work but like to use heavy washes to colour in. So the surface is much like that of a vellum surface drawing paper ( smoother and more consistent than a hot press) but with the chemistry of a watercolour paper for washes, scrubbing and lifts. The surface paper is 100% cotton so it is durable.
